Personalized, one-on-one sessions for K–4 learners who need a little extra help in reading or math. I pinpoint exactly where your child is getting stuck, then teach those skills step by step with clear instruction, meaningful practice, and regular progress checks so you can see the growth. The result: stronger foundations and a more confident learner.

Small-group reading instruction designed to strengthen foundational literacy skills, develop fluency and comprehension, and build confident, independent readers. With instruction tailored to shared learning needs, students receive targeted support in an engaging, collaborative environment.

Personalized reading and math curriculum recommendations tailored to your child’s learning needs and your family’s educational goals. Families receive a customized report featuring carefully selected curriculum options, explanations of why each is a good fit, and practical guidance to help them make informed decisions about their homeschool instruction.
Meet Amanda
Hi, I’m Amanda, the founder of Guiding Oak Learning.
I’m a credentialed teacher who spent 10 years in elementary classrooms, working with kids in TK through fourth grade. Along the way, I’ve seen how much a child can grow when they get the right support at the right time, and how much their confidence grows right along with their skills.
I’m also a mom of two boys, ages 1 and 8. That means I know what it’s like to sit beside your child at homework time, wondering how best to help. I bring both perspectives, teacher and parent, to every family I work with.
I grew up in Ramona and now work with families throughout San Diego County, in person and online. Whether your child needs a little extra practice or a clear plan for moving forward, I’m here to guide them with patience, warmth, and research backed teaching.
